Privacy Policy

HyitenBot is an AI assistant for Telegram and LINE Messenger developed by ShieldFi. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.
1. Who We Are
HyitenBot ("the Bot", "we", "us") is operated by ShieldFi (yiten.huang@gmail.com). The bot provides AI assistance, translation, meeting scheduling, reminders, and crypto alerts within Telegram and LINE group chats.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the bot:
- Chat messages — Text messages sent to the bot (prefixed with
/) are processed to generate AI responses. Messages are not permanently stored after processing.
- User identifiers — Telegram user IDs and LINE user IDs are used to associate settings (timezone, persona, translation mode) with your account.
- Chat configuration — Per-group settings such as translation mode and bot persona are stored securely.
- Google account tokens — If you authorize Google Meet integration via
/meet auth, we store an OAuth refresh token to create Google Calendar events on your behalf. We do not store your Google account email or any calendar data beyond what is needed to generate a Meet link.
3. How We Use Google User Data
HyitenBot requests access to Google Calendar (calendar.events scope) solely to create Google Calendar events with Google Meet conference links attached. This is triggered only when you explicitly run the /meet command.
Specifically:
- We create a Calendar event on your behalf to obtain a valid Google Meet link.
- The Meet link is shared in the group chat.
- We do not read, list, modify, or delete any existing calendar events.
- We do not share your Google data with any third parties.
- Your OAuth refresh token is stored securely and is used only to refresh access tokens for the above purpose.
- You can revoke access at any time via Google Account Permissions.
Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure.
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
- Message content is processed in-memory and not written to persistent storage.
5. Third-Party Services
The bot uses the following third-party APIs to function:
- Google Calendar API — to create Meet links (only when authorized by you)
- Telegram Bot API — to send and receive messages on Telegram
- LINE Messaging API — to send and receive messages on LINE
- AI APIs — to generate AI responses (message content is sent to these APIs for processing)
6. Data Retention
- Chat configuration and user settings are retained until you run
/reset or request deletion.
- Google OAuth tokens are retained until you revoke access via Google or request deletion.
- Message content is not retained after processing.
